1.Why is your service better than other dealers and at a lower cost?

We are a family-owned and operated local business so we can provide our customers with a level of personal quality service not available through large regional companies or franchises. We also deal with only one product – residential and on/off road diesel fuel. We can negotiate the best wholesale market price and pass the savings onto our loyal customers.

2. Is the fuel cheaper because of lower quality?

With a few exceptions, area fuel companies obtain their oil supplies from the same main pipeline that transports the fuel directly from port refineries located along the East coast. Supplies may be treated differently depending upon the intended uses and demands of retailers.

3. How can I place an order?

You can either phone us at 609-261-5424 (NJ) or 215-945-5424 (PA) or send an email to customerservice@havilandoil.com or use the online order form to place an order or ask a pre-sales question. We will contact you by phone to confirm your order, delivery location and time, and arrange for payment.

4. How long after I complete my order will you deliver my fuel oil?

Depending upon the number of orders received by our office, we generally provide same-day service. If you are experiencing an emergency or are significantly low on fuel, we would suggest you phone our office rather than contacting us by email or through the online order form. Remember that you tend to use larger amounts of heating oil with cold temperatures, so place an order before your tank has less than 1/4 capacity remaining. Delays are possible at the peak of the winter season, especially within several days of an expected snow storm or heavy icing conditions.

5. Must someone be available when residential fuel oil is delivered to my home?

If we can locate and access your tank easily without the need for your assistance, no one need be present at your home at the time of delivery.

6. What can I do to prepare for a home heating fuel oil delivery?

During the winter season, we would ask that your driveway be reasonably clear of ice and snow. If the access to your tank cannot be easily seen by our driver, please place a marker (flag) near the spot as some deliveries may be made near early evening hours.

7. What are my payment options?

You can pay by cash, credit card, money order or certified check.
